Why do we need courts and judges in this country? Why do we need the law and due process and the rule of law? Why not let the police shoot criminals as soon as they catch them? Why not dispense with words like democracy and fairness and justice?
I know people will say ‘Good riddance, we don’t need such criminals in society.’ I agree, but what about the criminal politicians, and all the other accomplices who will now get away scot free and just nurture more and more Dubeys?
Vikas Dubey was just a small cog in this Giant Wheel of corruption and sleaze and crime that is Indian politics. That wheel will continue to spin merrily along while we pride ourselves on our police work.
Sad day for India, Sad day for Democracy, sad day for Justice.
